In association with projectionist Dick Straker, Mesmer – ‘Atlantic Billboard’ an animated film inspired by the lived experiences of the 81 community was screened from the 9th to the 12th of April.
Mesmer worked with 4 local young people to develop the film. The location, at the crossroads of Atlantic, Railton and Coldharbour, delivered the wider social, historical context of ’81. The screenings took place each night over the anniversary weekend, between 7pm and 12pm.
Approximately 2,570 people would have saw the billboard each night meaning 7,710 people would have seen the billboard over the anniversary weekend.
